Day #98, #99: Carson City to Minden (18 miles)

I spent one extra day in Carson City because I thought there was a problem with my bike. But, as I was riding to the bike shop, I removed all my panniers (saddle bags) and the problem went away. It turned out some part of my bags were hitting the spokes on one of the wheels...
I had decided to make today a short ride to split it from the climb over the mountains to California, so I didn't try to get an early start and for once rode at a lovely, leisurely pace...
These are the mountains between Nevada and California:
Stats: 18 miles, started at 8:15am, ended at 10:30am, 2.25 hours of actual riding:
