Today's ride went from the high-tech offices of Livermore to the high-tech offices of Sunnyvale. In between it wound through a beautiful canyon, as if to give one last view of the rough American countryside. The day started cool and overcast... eventually the clouds burned off, but the day never got too hot. The big payoff at the end of the day was I would get to Sunnyvale, where I had visited many times, because that is where Apple's main offices are. And I was going to see my friends Mingyang and Xiaoqing for dinner at Tomi Sushi, one of our favorite restaurants. To be honest, this was part of my motivation for the whole trip :-)

Panoramas...

And the day ended with a wonderful sushi dinner with colleagues from AMD :-)

Love seeing that huge grin on your face and the triumphant pose! Sushi is one hell of a thing worth riding for :) I can't believe this is the penultimate ride!!!

The best sushi is the sushi you were having when chatting with friends

Chris, what a perfect way to end the day - good friends and your favorite sushi! 😄 We love that Tomi Sushi might have been part of the inspiration for the whole ride. The canyon sounds beautiful too, like a farewell from the countryside. Alex and I are so proud of you - you’re almost there! 🚴
