Today's ride was short and almost completely flat. The sky started overcast and cool and then by midway, the clouds had blown off and it was a little warmer, but never with much wind... just a great day. As the road descended into California's central valley, it wound past mile after mile of orchards, and I even saw some palm trees and a few cacti.

Stats: 32 miles, started at 7am, ended at 10:30am, 3.5 hours of actual riding:

It's been cool seeing the lush green grasses turn into beiges, peppered with trees. That totally makes sense about sort of being nostalgic for the country roads. Seeing as you're doing this journey since you like biking itself, I imagine it might be sort of bittersweet to have three rides left

Chris, what a peaceful day! Flat roads, cooler weather, and palm trees to welcome you into the valley! 😄 The landscapes look beautiful, and we’re so glad the ride gave you a little breathing room. Alex and I are loving the photos and panoramas! You’re getting so close now! Keep rolling - we’re with you every mile! 🚴🚴🚴
