Had a lovely dinner last night with Casey Thorson, who drove me in his pickup to the hospital last Summer. He's one of the loveliest and funniest guys I've ever met. Today's ride is 73 miles and rain was forecast, so I wanted to get an early start... That plan was somewhat delayed by this...

Today's update will be mostly videos:

Stats: 73 miles, started at 5:30am, ended at 2:30pm, 8 hours of actual riding:

If one could have a day like this, who would need to create all those words like “sad”, “depressed”, “unhappiness” etc. etc. The hail storm, the fray train, the oil refinery, the coal undermine, the wide wide open space no need a single tree disturbing the flat beauty. Above all of these, a gentleman with a pickup is your friend ! One best guy met with another one (for 100% being “same feather flock together” you need to drive a pickup for your next trip). I heard once you visit those area you’d understand people’s political choice better :-).

I liked the camerawork following the caboose of the train :) Oh my god that hail was crazy!! I have never seen (or heard) hail like that!
