Day #73: Rapid City, SD to Keystone (30 miles)

Rapid City, South Dakota had thunderstorms last night, so the plane circled for 45 minutes before we were cleared to land. But the morning was clear and cool, and my first stop was to pick up my bike at Scheel's where they had done a great job tuning it up last year and had put it back together for me. I was all paid up and on the road by 9:30am.



The whole ride was beautiful and fun, with the exception of a 7 mile stretch of steep gravel, but I learned my lesson, and I won't let Google maps lead me astray in the future :-)

That National Park is gorgeous! Some of those alpine trees remind me of palm trees somehow, so it ends up looking almost tropical. Glad you have sun cover too
