Day #69: Keystone to Custer, South Dakota (28 miles)

It was a glorious day... a little cool, so I had my long pants, sweater and wind breaker on for parts of the ride, but the sun came out for long stretches. The path climbed 1,800 feet and then descended 800 feet, but it was longer and thus more gradual than the 2 miles up to Mount Rushmore...

A glorious 28-mile day seems much in order. Neat to learn about the memorial. The trees on that path are lovely too. How was the ground? It sounded sort of gravelly -Nof

The elevation might be higher than mount Washington? The view in the action shots is pretty much of New England in early fall.
