Day #54: Waconia to Hutchinson (32 miles)

Another short ride and shorter blog update... I had breakfast at McDonalds and met another cyclist who had ridden across the US several times... he gave me good advice about the winds in South Dakota and also reminded me that riding alone was good because it was a spiritual experience:
I had a lovely conversation with a couple at a rest stop on the Dakota trail, and then also with a crew that was maintaining the Luce Line trail. I thanked them for keeping the trails in such good condition and they took my email address so I could give a testimonial to their boss :-)

Just look at those beautiful pink wild flowers, the corn field, the green green grass, they are all yours when you are biking alone. I absolutely believe it’s spiritual experience!
Those flower fields are gorgeous. Cool that you can email the boss of the people who keep the trails you've been liking! It just struck me how completely crazy it is that you've biked all the way out to Minnesota already. Hope it's a good ride tomorrow -Nof
