Oh my goodness, seeing family is wonderful! Last night we had a lovely dinner with Joe's parents and lots of the kids' friends and cousins. The sweetest 15 to 20 year olds you'll ever meet and each one more good looking and athletic than the last. Today in the morning, we went to the farmers market in Minneapolis, which was a joyous scene of fruits, vegetables, food stalls and families:

And in the afternoon, Katie and Joe and James and I went out to Lake Minnetonka for lunch. I had my first ever walleye sandwich, which was delicious :-). Part of what is so wonderful about family is we had really interesting discussions about parenting and aging. There's an inherent safety in the relationship between cousins, because you know everyone's on each others' side:

So my bike is tuned up and my flat tire repaired, and I think I will do a short day tomorrow and then rest for another day or two to let my bladder infection subside, before I embark on the second half of my trip...

Lovely family photos. Hi James, remember you were one of us last summer?
Oh my goodness it makes me so happy to see everyone in photos! Love them all. Also wow, those fruits and vegetables look amazing all lined up! -Nof
