Today was a tale of two halves: the first half of the ride was cool and breezy, blue skies, riding through exclusive neighborhoods close to the lake. South of Michigan City, Google routed us on to a very sketchy loose gravel bike path. I opted to stay on the roads, which was faster but more trafficky. Actually, I've been wanting to mention how courteous drivers have been during the whole trip. 95% of the time cars and trucks switch lanes to give us more space, and stop to let us cross streets. It's been really lovely :-)
BTW, Indiana is the first state we've visited that is not on Eastern Standard Time... so we're finally in a new timezone :-)
Three breakfasts and a pie... and another great bagel!
Action shots:
The snapshot: 48 miles, starting at 7am and ending at 12:30pm, with 4 hours of actual riding:

A slice of heaven! Apparently it’s not beach day today, the lake is so pretty and seems all yours! I bet some of the car/truck drivers with same ambitions, same dreams must be jealous when they saw you peddling the bike like a breeze.
Amish Country Gourmet Pie... that sounds like heaven all right! Wow, the lake looks like an ocean. Glad to hear the cars are treating you well -Nof
