After yesterday's relatively long day, today felt like a walk in the park. We slept in late and had breakfast in the hotel's dining area. I got my first peek at Lake Michigan (Mark had reconnoitered the previous evening). We thought we might swim at one of the beaches along the lakefront, but it was chilly with a strong onshore breeze and a weather advisory for rough surf. Not great swimming weather, but perfect riding weather and the wind was at our back for once :-)

The swells coming off the lake were pretty impressive:
The South Haven pier area was very cute and chic:
Beautiful views riding down the lake:
Even though the ride was short, there were lots of opportunities to consume food :-)
A few action shots...
The snapshot: 34 miles, starting at 9am and ending at 1:30pm, with 3 hours of actual riding:

Wow some beautiful rides in there. You survived the rust belt and discovered salad! I feel chances of success have improved. ⭐️
The bump mapping on those swells in the lake is pretty good! :) South Haven pier looks like a fun area to bike through. Also, is that pretzel bread in that sandwich? -Nof
A lot of veggies today :-). Lake Michigan, perfect milestone for wrapping the June riding.
