Today was a slightly longer day, but the conditions were perfect: a little rainy and overcast, put not drenching. We rode a long time on really well maintained bike paths and on a highway access rode that was smooth as a baby's bottom. We rode through Kalamazoo, which like many of the cities that had grown into industrial powerhouses from 1850 to 1950 seemed to be struggling with the loss of its former glory. The days have a funny urban-rural-urban pattern as we leave one city and ride across the countryside to another city.
I need to eat more vegetables... at least the tacos were cauliflower :-)
In the countryside there are signs of former boom times, but actually the farms still seem to be thriving:

A bunch of movies today:
The snapshot: 62 miles, starting at 7am and ending at 3pm with 6.5 hours of actual riding... there are two images because I hit some deep sand on the bike trail and wiped out. Luckily, falling on sand I didn't get hurt. After that I had to restart the tracker and I switched to roads instead of the path :-)

(Whoops, I read them out of order!) Glad you're okay from the fall. Pure **leaf** tea... I think Sokka would count that as a vegetable! Love the look of that barn -Nof
Don’t know if Midwest can regain their old day’s glory in the foreseeable future. Hopefully some of the jobs will come back and make the old towns/cities busy again. The horses and cows were having a very good day there, they didn’t even attempt to follow the bikes :-). Biking safely !
