Day #28: Jackson to Battle Creek (52 miles)

Another perfect riding day: cool all day with one or two drops of rain, but not more than that. A beautiful sunrise from our hotel room in Jackson...
And another bagel and lox breakfast because I'd gone to the supermarket the night before:
Once we got through Jackson's more run down neighborhoods and then Jackson's fancier neighborhoods, we followed the Falling Water bike trail... We've found Michigan's roads to be a bit bumby, but the bike trails are first-class! :-)

The snapshot: 52 miles (the tracker says 49, but that's because I forgot to hit resume after pausing it), starting at 7am and finishing at 2:15pm, with 5.5 hours of actual riding:

Sunrise sky photo is perfect . We went to Fan Pier pavilion roof deck watching Sunrise last summer. Maybe next summer after climb a 4000 footers in white mountains, we can stay for a sunrise spectacular (you will join us climbing white mountains next summer, right, Chris?) Guohua and I have been planning for that since Natalia told us she and her friends stayed overnight in tents for sunrise, Dave :-) . Have a great weekend riding or resting.
