Day #24: Sarnia to Wallaceburg (38 miles)

Today was the perfect antidote to yesterday's battle with the wind... we had a short ride along the Saint Claire river and a cool day with not too much wind. To start, I headed up to see the shore of Lake Huron, which Mark had seen the day before:


The river road south from Sarnia went past huge petroleum refineries,

Before settling in to little vacation homes with docks on the river, and then back to farmland as we turned inland to Wallaceburg:

Tonight we're actually staying at some people's house. Mark is a member of a biking web site called warmshowers.com. He hosts bicyclists at his house, and can ask to be hosted by other folks. They're cooking dinner for us! :-)

Riding from north to south, not crossing the bridge in Sarnia back to the states? It’s such a good idea that people hosting each other in their homes. The views from the action shots are so beautiful !
