We started the day with a lovely breakfast sandwich at The Shorebreak Cafe:

We took a break from the Empire Trail and rode around the North side of Lake Oneida. The day started cold and overcast, which was perfect for riding. We rode along the banks of the lake and through a bunch of typical suburban subdivisions...

The high point was stopping for a snack at a cafe that had a piano, and I discovered that Mark is a really good pianist. He charmed everyone in the cafe and received several rounds of applause :-)

A few action shots...

And finally a stop at Wegmans supermarket to pick up food for lunch and dinner:

And the snapshot: 37 miles, starting at 7:30am and finishing at 3pm, with 5 hours of actual riding (I don't fully believe the Sports Tracker log below, because I paused it and forgot to resume it right away...)

I want to eat that brownie. That's awesome that Mark plays the piano! -Nof

The snapshot makes me believe you were biking in a circle back and forth crossing the lake :-)
